I really don't like the Telegraph, but their stance on the Bulger affair is bang on. As the BBC summarizes:it is not the job of the government to feed a prurient lynch-mob mentality demanding information that it was agreed long ago would stay secret.

For those of you who were unaware, Facebook finally added an XMPP/Jabber version of Facebook chat. I haven't tested it much, but whatever it's like it's got to be significantly better than the pseudo-protocols that are banging around for the various chat clients you lot use.
