I want an ice cream maker. I blame the article in the paper about home ice cream makers with built-in cooling systems that are coming down in price (only around $200 - not exactly cheap) and gave tips and recipes for ice cream

We have a nice cuisinart ice cream maker that I bought a year ago for about $50. It works really well (as long as you don't over fill it). It freezes the ice cream to about a soft serve consistency and then you put it in the freezer if you want it harder. There are quite a few other ones that are cheaper, but a lot of them don't have a separate canister that you can remove (although I don't think you're supposed to store the ice cream in any ice cream maker).
Forget making them. I'm desperate to get my hands on Haagen-Dazs new reserve series (Amazon Valley chocolate! Brazilian Acai Berry sorbet! Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle! Hawaiian Lehua Honey & Sweet Cream! Pomegranate Chip!), but the bastards aren't selling it in Canada. It doesn't even exist on their Canadian website ;__;
I saw the final episode of the TV show abouthte ice cream flavor contest, and teh winer was teh Sticky Toffee Pudding - did they end up making the other 2 flavors as well?
Green tea ice cream is awesome. I'm hoping that jasmine green tea will be even better. And gingerbread ice cream, OMG yes. I want to make chai ice cream, too. Mmm cinnamon clovey gingery black tea goodness.
