For the other Hannah....another east-coast job :)

Hi everyone-

I am posting to spread the word that Bonnie Mosser has an immediate
opening for a new working student or groom.

Bonnie's working student program is structured differently depending
on what you are looking for.

If you have a horse that you will be bringing then you pay a deeply
discounted day rate that includes your board, housing and all
lessons/coaching at competitions. You get between 0-4+ lesson/week
just depending on Bonnie's schedule (ie. if she is away at Burghley
she will obviously not be able to teach you that week but if you have
a big event coming up she will make sure she works with you extra
that week). In exchange for this discounted rate you work from
roughly 7:30-4 or something like that, it changes depending on what
is going on that day.

If you do not have a horse, there is one available for you to ride
and possibly compete. Or if you don't want to ride and just groom a
small salary is available.

I'm not completely up on all the financial details but can get you
answers to any of your questions.

It is a very nice laid back environment and the instruction you will
get will probably change your life it is so good.

For any of these positions you will: muck, feed, turn out, perform
basic medical care, rehab, hack, move jumps, groom at events, etc.

Your own riding goals are recognized and encouraged so you will
always have time to compete, etc.

We prefer long term committment and some experience. You must have
your own transportation and if you have a horse we prefer that you
have your own trailer (though this is our easiest requirement to work
around). Cheerful personality is a must!

Bonnie is great to work for. She is friendly, fair, positive and an
extremely knowledgable horse woman. She is very hands on with her
horses and you will rarely be asked to do something that she herself
will not do. She is not prone to yelling, throwing things or having
tantrums :) But... it is hard work and you will be expected to put
your best foot forward with a smile on your face!

Please e-mail me for more details, questions, or to apply:

If you are writing to apply please include a cover letter, which says
how long you are willing to commit, if you will be bringing a horse,
the highest level you have competed/trained, the level you currently
compete/train, your personal goals for the job and what you believe
you will bring "to the team", and resume.

And please feel free to forward this post to anyone you know who may
be interested...

Thank you!
Rebecca
