Julia's book came out this week - and I just finished it this morning. It was fabulous...and I'm not just saying that since a good chunk of it is about Surfie and Huey. he doesn't look an inch retired at all. apparently he didn't get THAT memo ;)

good luck next week! that's a huge undertaking (two horses!). can't wait to see your photos :)

Thanks! I have a friend from NC coming down for a few days...so hopefully there will be some photos!

That is awesome, I'll have to keep an eye out for that book:)

I think Surf is disputing the retired thing, based on the photo, lol. Why is he being retired?

He's not being retired :) My trainer (his owner) retired him at the time she was working on her book...but he came out of retirement along with Huey because neither one was really ready to retire. They can't do the upper-level stuff anymore, but we're all having a good time bopping around the lower-level stuff. Huey might make it back to Training...but we're starting him back out at Novice. Surf is having fun at Training...and there might be a Prelim in there yet...
