Greetings from Aiken, where it is COLD. Today I ran xc wearing a down parka over my vest...snazzy...at least it was pink :) Ponies tails were freezing after they went through the water ( Read more... )

Looks like Kadi will be at sporting days :-p and I know CC is there :-p

Glad you are having so much fun! Working for Kadi I got to know dutton and boyd pretty well, being they're all Ausies. We were parked next to Dutton at Loch Moy, and then Boyd and Silva hitch hiked a ride iwth me at Fair Hill when I was driving back from the XC course.

Keep having fun, and be safe! Are you coming home with any photos?

CC is definitely there...I was behind her in the order of go for dressage today. Julia was in the warmup with me so she played nice (after yelling at me for some stupid stuff at rubicon...). CC is hard to miss with her 1-zillion rides at any event...but I don't think I'd recognize Kadi.

Yeah, I don't even know the horses Kadi will have there.... since she has sold everything that she had while I was there and is competing a BN and N horse. You always seem to have the luck of riding at the same time as CC :-p

Amazing! Practically every other Hannah that I've ever met has been a toddler. Where have you people been all my life?

hence why I have my Hannah-classifications. THIS hannah (the one in Aiken) used to bored with Larry's Owner, the Patricia lady referenced in the post.

Aiken! Wow, you landed in the middle of nowhere :) Well, I guess Augusta isn't too far away. But still...

Are you kidding?! Aiken is THE equestrian mecca from Feb1-March31!!! You can't walk 10 feet without tripping over an olympian!

the town seems cute though...horse focused, so that's cool too :) hijumpgrrl is right though...this is eventing central for Feb and March. In the past week, I can't count how many big time riders I've run into!

Thanks! Huey was a superstar (and hacked sound yesterday, so YAY for that too!). Had a fabulous XC school yesterday on Surfie at Full Gallop, which has crazy-hard courses...really, even BN had a coop to a ditch on a bending line (flagged separately, but really a half-coffin), a set of chevrons a few strides out from the water, and lots of jumps with drop landings...very weird. Anyways, we ran into Boyd out schooling...who was impressed by Surfie :) He asked a lot of questions about him...and I figured that was not the time to tell him it was the same horse who kicked the crap out of his trailer at MCTA :)

HA! Love it. Full Gallop is such a cool course. I've only walked it, but it really is lovely. So are you going to be at SoPInesI, then?
