i was actually for it till i was a senior in HS & in my debate class, i had to debate AGAiNST sumthing i believed in...but after researching it, we found that it's cheaper to keep the person locked up for YEARS than to execute them. i don't remember exact details & figures since this debate class of mine was almost 2 years ago. i don't think people should have opinions on sumthing they know NOTHiNG about. meh. i hope i helped ya.

Yeah, it get's harder when you learn more and more and more about it. It may be cheaper to keep them in prison or whatever for however long, but that money eventually adds up, and then it's our money paying for them to live there, not theirs, some people just don't care because they aren't paying anything and they look at it as a place to stay. But if we didn't execute some people and just let them stay living in prisons all over prisons would fill up faster than they already are, and we would have so many prisons in the US, not that we already don't.

It's hard to just say yes/no and I realize that with that topic, but I was really just trying to get some people's opinions.

i'm for it cause if you're stupid enough to kill someone then thats the way you should be punished you took someone elses like the authorities have the right to take yours. i dont believe mental problems have anything to do with people killing others i think it all has to do with selfishness and hatred. my uncle died from his friend shooting him in the head it was in 85 and only spent 30 days in jail

Yeah, things have changed so much since 85, well not majorly, but somewhat you know?

I think that if there is substantial evidence then maybe the person did do it, but there is also the part that what if it was all set up? Sometimes that stuff happens. This topic could be debated over for hours on end.
