Got my SUV back this morning, finally... total of $5453.51 for the repairs. It looks good, except that they moved some stuff around in the front seat (notable, since it was out of the way on the passenger side, and they shouldn't have had to touch it at all - someone could sit comfortably without touching it, and all the repairs were to the rear of ( Read more... )

YIKES! I always lock my doors too. Did you have to actually pay that much for your car!?!?! That's insane.

Things like that are why I lock the doors behind me when I walk in the house... apparently, those guys in the article just walked in the front door. :(

I didn't actually have to pay that, thankfully, since the insurance was covering it... but, yeah, about $2,000 more in damage and they would have totalled out my car. :(

I keep reminding him to use it... it's still sitting on the kitchen table. *sigh* I'm going to bring it upstairs tonight and then hand it to him before bed. :)
