I got home from work last night at 7:15. I usually get home at 5:40.

Apparently, snow here is a cause for panic.

It's sooo weird. My commute only doubled (from 45min to 90min), *and* I stopped for gas. Either someone was watching over me, or I really WAS quite unusally intelligent for deciding to take the back roads after all. :)

You might have gotten less snow - and your population is probably also more used to having snow in general. Down here, we get mass panic if there's going to be an inch, let alone the 6-8 that was predicted. ;P

Being from central eastern MI, I can only view the panic around me with bemusement. ;D

Nah, I've got a couple friends who reported 3-5 hour commutes. I think I just got lucky.
