Tari's Really Cool Actually Not Very Exciting Lawrence Trip

Okay, so I went to Lawrence today. The photos maybe aren't so great, because I was in the car all of the time and mostly moving. I tried to take pictures at stoplights and stuff, but they all seemed timed wrong. :)

i LOVE lawrence! i took some classes at KU and my professor took us on a tour of lawrence in his fancy KU van, it's such a gorgeous town. there's a really nice restaurant there that has these amazing veggie, salmon, and buffalo burgers and all sorts of delicious vegan treats. and an AMAZING ice cream place. yummm.

It's a neat town, I think. KU is the rival of my school, so I'm a bit biased against it but it's a really good school, honestly.

And Lawrence is such a neat town, especially downtown.

you went to MU? :) i personally like them better than KU, I just had the opportunity to take some classes at KU

Columbia is reallllllllly cool too though!

No, I went to K-State, I guess it's their "other other" rival. At least around here there is a very big deal of whether you're "for" KU or KSU. I forgot about MU.

It's lovely -- all hilly, which you wouldn't expect for Kansas. And tons of trees everywhere.

WOOT!!!! Now I really have to go look for AUs where Sam and DEan stayed on in Lawrence. YOu've read dark_reaction's 'Stopped at the Crossroads'? Sam went on to Stanford, much to Dean's disgust, but Sam came back to Lawrence to become a lawyer there, despite getting better offers elsewhere. And Dean's a cop! God, I love that fic to death.

Yep, I love to see things like this but I'm a total geek for this -- "what if" sort of idea. So I love the idea that they might have stayed in Lawrence in another lifetime or something.
