There have been three or four F-5 tornadoes through that town in the last ten years or so. They just have NO luck...except bad.

They do seem to be in a hotspot, don't they. It would be interesting to see an updated map of tornado paths, Tom Grazalius' book is over 20 years old and there's been over 20 thousand tornadoes since then to map.
