Seven in '07!

Since this year brings with it 07/07/07, silwritersguild is doing a special project for the House of Feanor, compiling short fics, poems, excerpts from long fics, and artwork about/of Feanor and his sons. Poor you being sick! I empathize with you and I know that being congested like that is the absolute suck. fortunately, I haven't had any problems like that of late, but you kow what they say... only smart people get colds in the summer. (well, they say that around here, anyway.)

Re 7.07.2007, I would have something to pimp and something to post, regarding the Feanorians, but I'm still waiting for the thumbs up from Silvana. I'll get her to agree and I'l try to make the deadline, too.

Haha, ridiculous is right! He takes things so personally, and everytime he gets emo I can't help but comparing him to the Namesake. Especially now that he's kind of trying to be just a little bit dominant over Tor, but it's not really working...

If all that makes Tor badass Lestat, I'm going to have serious mental health issues!! ...Oh wait...:D

I like that! Only smart people get colds in summer...I'll have to remember that. Luckily, I am 98% over my little sickness. Now instead you should see the teeth marks on my leg - not fang marks, but a neat imprint of seven teeth. O.o Evil doggy.

My problem, aside from perfectionism, with the 7/707 project is that I can't remember anything that I've written that really brings out the characters of the Feanorians. I guess I should glance back through. *cringes at the thought of trying to sort her drabbles*

What does that say about the person who came up with the comparisson? Eh, but insanity is my default mode. *is modest*

I'm having issues with my writing at the moment, to and even if the bit I want to share is something that I felt really drawn into at the time I was scribbling the paragraphs, I don't have much confidence in my writing or my ability to capture anything truly Feanorian. Which is funny, because you and I are playing with the boys in our private sand-box, where so much crack happens that it demands a full blown story.

I am the same! I am never sure of my ability to capture any of the Feanorians personalities. I guess I can do our crack because it's not meant to be serious. Meh. It's fun though! I think eventually I'll be able to adequately write Feanorians as I see them, if I practice more! Haha. Dawn said we should create a joint account to post the story said crack! demands. ;)

Sure! Especially since that is probably my favorite piece I've written so far. Plus then I won't feel guilty about not having combed through my stuff for something to submit. ;)

I like the idea too of having a collaborative project up. I'm trying to get a variety of genres and styles, so this fits perfectly in so many ways.

I have one other thing I may send, but I need to reread it first. It features Amras in a slightly (ok, perhaps very) different interpretation of his mothername "The Fated", but it doesn't bring a lot of his personality to life, and I wonder if the ficlet is a bit bland.
