Life Update

So, despite myself, I was going to comb back through my drabbles and ficlets in search of something to submit for the SWG's Seven in '07 project. (Yep, more shameless pimpage.) I'm not sure though if I'll be able to do that.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother ... and I know what you mean with the feeling that one person dying means that others will follow. Now that all of my grandparents are gone, I can't help but feel sometimes that my parents are "next in line," awful as that sounds. This story (my favorite!) from the first issue of Antithesis Common comes to mind. :^/

That is a pretty story.

Sometimes I think "what if my parents are next in line?" By theory of age, they shouldn't be but obviously life/death doesn't always take that into account.

The worst part about the whole thing is that it makes me think of Loki, which screws up my whole mental healing process. Though my mom said the same thing, so I don't feel so bad about it. At least I'm not the only crazy person who grieves more for her dog than her grandmother. O.o

Mostly unrelated, but the story's talk of uncles reminded me of it: I hope that while my dad is up there being efficient, that he can efficiently er, deal with my uncle who is insane. He's like Feanor at his worst - only without having killed anyone. And less vocal. But just as crazy.
