I'm taking a creative writing class this semester, and one of our assignments was to write a dramatic scene from a play or a movie. Just for the sake of amusing myself, I challenged myself to do a scene with two straight male characters, make them act as "guy-like" as possible, not have them do anything overtly

I am afraid my brain is no longer wired to ignore subtext.
Oh, I hear you--I am oblivious to many things, but not to subtext, not anymore! Doesn't matter what it is--manslash, femslash ... plant/human slash if you count sasha_anu's latest fic, lol ... my brain seems to have decided that all fictional characters are, by default, pansexual and in love with each other. And then some. At the very least, no one can say that we don't have exciting internal lives, sister! Although sometimes I have to remind myself that, in the real world, people don't run around madly hooking up with everyone they come in contact with (well, most people, lol ...).
You ought to post the piece, sister of mine! Ehh ... mayyyybe? I don't really like it that much, aside from the subtext, lol. We have to revise all of our work for this class anyway, though, so ... yeah, once it's gone through a revision, I'll put it up ( ... )
