Isn't it? I loved the inverted pyramid! I think it was my favorite thing in the Louvre, lol.
And the architecture in Europe is gorgeous! So many old buildings! It creates such a nice atmosphere.
OMG, I want to go see that library.
The library was stunning. They didn't let us go into it ... where I was standing when I took the pic was the closest I got, but it was great just to be able to stare and gawk at it. :)
Anyway ... whee! Glad you enjoyed the pic spam. *grin*
Oh gosh, these are lovely pictures. Are you from the area, or traveling a huge distance to see it?!
Clockwork is fab and the library seems like something I'd imagine in Bruce's place. With the same dusty sunlight because Al always pulls back the drapes just like how Thomas would ask.
And Clark looking in the doorway the first time and just staring...
(The museam is likely huge. Can you walk in there, or were you limited to just looking from away? I'd love to touch that globe.)

I'm from the States, so traveled a huge distance to see it. :D
Clockwork is fab
It is! I love clocks and old watches and gears ... old mechanical thingies fill my heart with glee! And I always get a kick out of watchmaking characters, like Jon in the Watchmen or Sylar from Heroes. :)

Oooo ... I loved your little imagining with Alfred adjusting the drapes and Clark seeing it for the first time and being awestruck. The dusty sunlight does seem like it belongs in Wayne Manor ...
Can you walk in there
Sadly no. :( Where I was standing when I took the picture was the closest I got. I can see why, though ... I would have loved to touch that globe, too! And just about everything else. Which they would probably frown upon, lol.
Ah, it's so awesome of you to be traveling then. I'm from north of ye and I'd love to see more of the world, too.
Hahah. You referenced Watchmen. That's so...comic-g33k of you. I love it!
Clark would pretend to sneeze, just because that's how the room makes him feel. Like he's five and a guest in a strange place. Not allowed to touch. Overwhelmed by a mere library, and he's secretly Superman!
We visited Paris in '97, and saw totally different things, except Notre Dame.
Oh, what did you end up seeing? I'm betting that our sightseeing probably overlapped more than it seems like from this post, lol. Most of my pictures were from Paris, so I think out of all of my pic spam posts, the photos in this one were the most randomly chosen. ^-^
Gargoyles! Gargoyles! I want to write gargoyles-fic (not the tv show, although that was pretty awesome, but Gotham gargoyles). Moret-sur-Loing looks impossibly gorgeous...man...*eyes it longingly*
Gargoyles! Gargoyles! I want to write gargoyles-fic
Whee! Gotham gargoyles-fic! Yes, yes, it must be written! Maybe when Gotham really needs to communicate with someone directly, she uses gargoyles as her messengers? Err ... maybe not, lol ... but gargoyles are awesome! And the TV show was awesome, too! *remembers it fondly*
Norte Dame! Notre Dame! All those gargyoles remind me of Disney's version of 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'. :) And that Library... that is a very nice library. :D

Oh, the Disney gargoyles rocked! *squee* And there were actually quotes from the book Hunchback of Notre Dame on plaques all over the cathedral, and they pointed out what rooms were featured in the story and what not ... it was pretty cool, and makes me really want to read the book now. :)

LOL. I just finished reading it two weeks ago or so, so it's still very much on my mind. *grin*

Ahh, that is a major Superman kink of mine, lol. I love it when Clark is overwhelmed by anything; it's deliciously ironic. :)

The Louvre (which I guess you visited too)
The Eiffel Tower
Montmartre
Versailles
The Obelisk
I'm going kinda blank beyond that... lol.

LOL. No prob! I'd be hard pressed to remember what I saw on a ten year old vacation, too. *grin*
But I did see all of that with the exception of Versailles. Hurray! ^-^
