I am alive!
Hello LiveJournal, I did end up deciding to apply to creative writing MFA programs and ... yeah, that + normal work has eaten up most of my time since September!
I turned in my first application on November 7th (for University of British Columbia. Ahhh, I want to get into their program so badly, accept me UBC, accept meeeeeee!). After that, I thought I would just be recycling what I submitted to UBC for my other schools and that I would actually have more time for having a life. Annndd, after taking about a week's break, turns out that was just wishful thinking, LOL. I don't have as much work to do for my other applications, but their requirements are different enough that it's still a sizeable amount.
My next deadline is Dec. 1st and my last one is Feb. 15th (and there are a few more in between those two dates). I wouldn't say I'm on hiatus anymore, but I wouldn't say I'm back either. So I apologize in advance if I do a lot of flaky flittering and disappearing up until February. These applications have pretty much become a second job, but even though it's a lot of work, it's fun work, if that makes any sense. It's a huge relief to actually be working towards something again-and towards something I'm actually passionate about-and all of this work is still less stressful than the past year of not knowing what I wanted to do and feeling like I was lost treading water in the ocean. Err, well, I'm still in the middle of the ocean ... but I see land now! And if I have to swim until February to get to it, I will gladly do it. :)
Anyway, take care LJ! I'm sorry I've done such a crap job of keeping in touch with most of the flist, but I miss everyone and think about you a lot and stalk you, and I hope you are all doing all right. :) Try to behave. ;) *flitters away*
