I'm only a novice reader - but I've been a professional librarian for over 30 years. There are tons of things you can/will learn there that can apply to activities that aren't actually IN a library. I know things have changed by leaps and bounds since my grad school days, but I wish you well. I'd be happy to talk if that would help at all.
