Pursuing tasks with tarot

Sometimes I do spreads to help me with tasks that I am unsure of, or to gain advice and insight on how to pursue them. I just recently noticed that Pixar had a graphic arts internship and it has been a dream of mine to work for them since middle school and has been a part of my drive in college -- to be good enough to work for a company like Pixar ( Read more... )

Thanks! They even mention paying attention to the fine details in their job listing which I found interesting. Although I suppose more thought (also queen of swords?) should be put into the application more so than a regular one.
I thought about making a booklet of my portfolio work and add a storyline to it.. may be a bit ambitious for the amount of time I have but... I guess I'll think about it more ;) I thought the presence of the queen was interesting. I guess a lot people embellish the truth to applying to companies like pixar just to make them look good..

From this spread, do you think I have a chance at it? I mean I know cards have multiple meanings, but the fact that the 8/pentacles is in the future/outcome position gives me hope... but as I've said earlier if I do things Strenght and queen of swords wants me to do I should be fine.

I think the spread is telling you that there's no reason why you shouldn't be in with a good chance, providing you put the work in that is required of you. The cards are all very practical ones, so it's less about luck and more about applying yourself and proving your worth.

There's definitely nothing here that might suggest that the path you're looking to pursue is the wrong one, so I think it's a quietly positive spread :)

Outside of tarot, I think a company like Pixar would love an application that shows your creative side! Best of luck! x

Which is why I decided how eerily similar my journey as a designer is to the Fool in tarot! =X So I'm applying the Fool's journey to my life story as a designer for my application. ;) Hey, they like stories right??? :P
