I don't know if anyone is still on here but I could use some advice. I really just don't want to work for the man anymore. My day job said I have until April first to find a new employer. What do you want to do?

The greatest decision I made in the last 5 years was to quit working retail, finish my degree, and get a job in my field. It's been a long 5 years, but I'm starting to get clients and contract work very regularly, and I love what I do. I wouldn't trade it for the world. It takes a lot of hard work, but if you know what makes you happy and stick to it, you can have a job you love doing and it will make you infinitely happier. :)

are you referring to tarot clients? If so, it's an uphill journey to gain more clients. You may have to look into reading for a network while you build your outside business. Most of the "psychic hotline" jobs are considered self-employment, and many people work for more than one. And there's the fact that it's not considered "reputable", but that's a decision only you can make.

On the other hand, if you make it a full time job and put in the hours, you might make it. I'd recommend reading lots of small business books and getting the feel for running your own business. The reading business is unique, but not so much that basic business principles won't be helpful.

Well I mean reading cards as a living. And eventually going to school for astrology and reiki after. And yeah, it's not. "A practical" way to live.
