Ever since my bird evolved, she's spent a lot of time staring at the sun. I feel like that can't be good for her, but she doesn't seem to mind it. I wonder what she'd do if I gave her a pair of sunglasses? Actually, it's reassuring; I feel like if any threats came at me from that direction, she'd see it coming ( Read more... )

I've gotten used to nothing ever being easy. Or going right, for that matter. But I do have some experience in matters relating to predicting the future.

Probably. Maybe try putting sunglasses on her and see how she reacts, to start with?

...Anyway, what did your research say about what she sees? Anything?

I think she would take to them well enough. She has a very calm nature.

The books I've read suggest that when she's gazing off into space like that, she's seeing the past and the future all at one. Some of them surmise that the sight is so terrifying to these birds that they'll stand rooted to the spot for hours. I sympathize completely.
