I haven't checked for mistakes because I'm lazy. Weird ending is weird.

Dean left Sam for exactly three minutes and forty-two seconds, just long enough to go out to the vending machine for orange juice. Not that he was counting or anything. Okay, well maybe he was, dammit, he's allowed to worry a bit when Sam's sick.

He's had this cold for three days now. At first it was just a cold, and while Sam used a ridiculous amount of tissues and used up all the Advil because of his headache he was still functional.

That was before the fever showed up this morning. And with it all the achy-ness and shivering and a fucking ton of congestion and Sam's just sick. So Dean went to get him orange juice.

Before he left Sam's fever was hovering around 101 and he was curled up on the bed with the tissues and garbage can next to him. So when Dean walks into the motel room and doesn't see Sam he might be freaking out a little. Bad things happen when you leave feverish Sam alone, okay?

"Sam?" he calls tentatively.

"heh'CKGGchshsh! huh' ( ... )

"I don't think it works like that, Sammy," Dean kneels next to the toilet and rubs his brother's back. "Give me that," he snatches the can of deodorant out of Sam's hand as he raises it to spray again.
"'kay," Sam shoves his face into Dean's chest as another sneeze explodes out of him. "heh'MMPchshsh!"OMG that faceplant into Dean's chest! Is that because he's going to sneeze and wants his nose against the nice warm shirt... or is it because he wants to get close to Dean who's wearing deodorant so his sneeze is just a little bit bigger than it would have been? Wait, wait. Dont' tell me. I don't want to know. I just want to think the happy thoughts that beautiful image gives me. *happy thoughts ( ... )

HEEEEEE, thanks so much! Whenever I write fics I just shove whatever I like into them and am shocked to discover that everyone else likes them too.

You totally used Dean's deodorant, hee! That is my new canon. I think it orginated from a prompt that never got filled on JJ's meme, but yeah... definitely stuck for me now!
