Today started with my mom telling me to wake up. I decided I was too tired to go to school, so I told her that my exam wasn't until later, and that I would just ride my bike to school. So she left and I got to sleep in. It looked as if it was going to rain outside, so I quickly got ready for school and rode off.
As I was about to cross that intersection (by BW3's), an old hobo-man stopped me and briefly "talked" (it was more of signing) to me. He kept laughing, and patted my bike and sort of pointed to himself, so I took it to mean that he liked my bike. So I said, "Thanks", and was on my way. I got to school at around 8:00, so I studied for an hour and a half. After my exam, Taryn said she was going out to lunch with some of her friends, so I decided to ride my bike home, because it probably wouldn't fit in her car anyway.
I was riding along when I decided to call Rachel and see if she wanted to ride with me. She said yes, and we met up at Benny B's a few moments later. It was good.
After that, we decided to go to Bora's house. It was a lot of fun--I got to make a picture of an apple balloon with a worm in it, and we wrote a cool "poem" for Jobe. There are so many cicadas at Bora's house! It was like, "Ahh! My ears!!!" I tried listening for them when I got to my house, and there are none. Weird.
Riding through Seneca, Rachel thought she spotted the Blue Bomb, but Christian (spelling?) wasn't anywhere in sight. So we asked the nearest old man if it was his car, and he said yes, and we were on our way.
Next, we went to Graeter's and split a mocha/mint chip milkshake. Yum. There were a bunch of Trinity kids there and I think I saw the one from French Scrabble that hated me. Rachel and I decided to go home, so we parted ways. Not even a minute later, I heard someone yell, "Sarah Kelty!" So I turned around, and it was Taryn and Co. in her car, waiting at the traffic light by Graeter's. I yelled to her that I had been riding with Rachel. She said, "I like your shirt!" And I said, "Thanks, it's the only clean one I had!" And I was on my way.
As I turned down Chenoweth, I saw another familiar face. This time it was Taryn's dad, waiting at the traffic light by BW3's. "I just saw Taryn", I shouted to him. "Where?" he inquired. "In that direction", I said, as I circled my hand in the general direction she had just been. He told me that he had been trying to call her, but she wouldn't answer.
As I neared my street, Taryn and Co. passed by yet again. "Your dad is looking for you!" I shouted--but it was no use--she had already zoomed by. "Oh well," I said to myself, and was on my way.
So that was my day as briefly as I can tell it but it really, really, was fun and I had a great time--it feels like summer!!!!
