Browsing around, I came upon this article discussing the "mainstreaming" of Goddess imagery. It saddens me that the beauty and meaning of the Godess movements have been translated into lovey-dovey, no judgements or standards "you're wonderful the way you are" shlock:

I had to use the "Add to memories" function for the first time for this post. You rock. Since you say "Maybe I'll feel better when someone finally does come out with Buddy Jesus.", Urban Outfitters makes a t-shirt with "Jesus is my homeboy" written on it.

Thanks! I've seen them selling Buddy Jesus figurines, but it's more a joke than a serious attempt to co-opt Christianity. (Of course, it can be argued that it's already been co-opted).
