I have finally mastered the "pretzel knot!" I was having trouble keeping my hemp strands parallel though the knot and it was just turning out all kinds of funky-bad. However, I have finally figured it out! Whee! *Happy Cat Dance*

Thanks, love. It occurred to me a few days ago that I have two (count 'em, TWO!) craft fairs coming up in October and I'll be busy the next few weekends so I had better get on the ball and get some stuff made. I've made 8 new pieces yesterday and today. Yay for shinies! :D

I generally use the 20 lb which is pretty thin or the 40 lb which is a bit thicker. You can find thicker hemp but I don't generally like it because it gets pretty scratchy and fuzzy.

I would think the knot could be used with leather laces to make a belt...
