So this weekend Charlene and I drove to Oxford to pick up a drafting chair I won on eBay for £5 [near mint condition and easily £100+ new - SCORE!] and have a look around while we were there. Very nice city centre, even if it was really cold - loads of cool old buildings, though trying to get out of there at rush hour was a bit of a pig. Anyhow, ( Read more... )

I love that photo, it's on my desk in it's high quality, fantastically tasteful frame!

lol, yeah that photo frame was ace! I was a bit disturbed at this point though, the ferengi had such a limp handshake - I thought they were supposed to be men of business and commerce! Firm handshakes all round!

How can Krull suck? Where else would you find Liam Neeson, Robbie Coltane AND Todd Carty all in the same film? XD

Because it's fecking awful Jess! C'mon, I mean I can indulge the odd shite movie with the best of them, but it was the cyclops and the really obvious sounds stages and crap matte paintings that made me want to hurt myself - and don't even get me started on the 80's princess lol.

All in all, Krull was gay - The end.

I hope you realise I wasn't making that a serious argument...!

Krull, Ladyhawk, Legend, Conan The Destroyer, Beastmaster - they're all supposed to be camp fantasy films!

Do I Jess?? DO I?? lol ;-) In hindsight actually, I would love to see someone have a go at justifying Krull with a serious argument - I think the only thing they could really argue is all of the jobs that were created in production and distribution or something like that.

It's a shame they don't make crap fantasy movies anymore. Well, I mean apart from Dungeons and Dragons. Oh, and Eragon. Infact, thinking about it...!

Still, I do miss the 'crap films and booze' nights! X-D

Krull also stars the chap who played Michael Eddington in DS9...

And not to nitpick but isn't that just a standard office chair? I've got that exact one in my room...

It is similar, but has a footring, no wheels and at full extension the seat is about 3 feet off the ground - though I don't need it that high, my board is taller than the normal operator's chair so hence me having had to use a stool from the kitchen for ages (which was bad for my back and I got ink had to be uber careful about getting ink on!)
