Beautiful! I just loved this! (And thank you for turning me on to Calvino--I'm going to enjoy making his acquaintance!)

I just wanted this story to go on and on. Zephyr Macabee above mentioned the rhythm, and I agree. It's almost hypnotic.

The section with the old woman and her magical store was so intriguing. I want to go shopping there!!!
