I had the same reaction. Here's an issue where they could've given themselves a real point of difference and instead they just followed the government. Maybe they decided to play it safe, confident that they were far enough ahead in the opinion polls.

It really gets to me. They put themselves across as a younger, fresher, more innovative party full of good ideas that will take Australia down a different path, but really they're just the same. They're as conservative and as redundant as howard and the liberal party.
