customer: do you know where the books are?

customer: 'I'm looking for a book'
me: 'ok, what's the title/author'
customer: 'um, it has a black and white cover'
me: 'right, fiction or non-fiction?' (praying it was non fiction because the section was tiny)
customer: 'er, yes'

and

customer: 'I'm looking for a book'
me: 'ok, what's the title/author'
customer: 'the title is some thing like... the something of the something or the something with the something'
me: 'I think that I'll need some more information'

and

customer: 'I'm looking for a book that I saw on TV this morning'
me: 'was it made into a film then'
customer: 'no it was advertised' (like I was stupid!)
me: 'can you remember the title'
customer: 'no. didn't you see it?'

You can tell that I liked them so much, I still remember them after 2 years. I'm still amazed that these people even bother trying to read.
