I use the word nifty too...just yesterday in fact...and got a weird look because of it. I share your apathy for the holiday not because of deaths, but a lack of life therein from various family members and acquaintances. I wish everyone was a little more cohesive when it comes to love, honor and trust, but there are not many George Bailey's in the world left. ye gads, the 1920's were good for that, weren't they? Wouldn't it be great to go back to a simpler time when there was honesty and character? *sigh* I live in a fantasy world though...why don't you come and join me?
