Crafty!
I've been going through pictures of resent projects, and suddenly I felt posty! So here you go. A photo post. Won't be as pretty/exciting/artistic as one of notbatman's posts, but mine has cupcakes!First off, a little knitting! My mother turned 60 this year, and I wanted to do something special for her gift. I know she loves the knitted things I make for her so I decided to try my had at lace work. Also, since her nick name for herself is Lilian or Lily, I found a lily of the valley patterned shawl, and then jazzed it up with some pearls that I knitted right into the fabric.

And now, the cupcakes!
I volunteered to bring cupcakes to the Draft Party our league had this September. I busted my butt learning to make Italian butter cream frosting, and then piped sunflowers all afternoon. They came out great! Then I got to the party only to discover that the lights were out (and no one knew where the switch was. So we had the party in the very dim light from the open garage doors, and no one could really see my pretty cakes. But you can!
