The first Anime North took place ten years ago today, which means that I've been going to anime cons for a decade now.

qicetrini and I were there for that one too, and been going ever since. Wasn't it held at the Michener Institute at first?

Yup, the one-day con that was expected to pull a modest 200-300 in attendance - and ended up with 889. ^^;

That was quite the day. Things were going to start at 9 AM, and I had planned to get there at 8 AM. Got a call at 7:20 AM saying that people were already starting to line up outside.
