Disclaimer: I am not a superstitious person.

I read tonight that some hotels / motels don't have rooms numbered '13' to cater to their more superstitious customers. What gets me is that '14' would just be the real '13' anyway, but with different numbers painted on it. I mean, if there's bad luck to be had, I doubt it puts on its reading glasses

I've seen that in hotels before. I stayed in a room "12A" before. Also I've heard some building don't have a 13th floor for the same reason.
