It was so terribly humid here yesterday....104 heat index or something like that....I felt like I was back in New Orleans for sure! It rained overnight and this morning it wasn't so awful. But, I think we're suppossed to be rained on off and on all day today. We need it too!!

We have had several days (weeks?!) of 100+ temps without a drop of rain! My yard looks scorched in places where there isn't any shade and it bums me out because we use our sprinkler system in moderation and at the right time of the day. Ben thinks the sprinkler heads might be missing places and needs to call the guys who serviced and fixed it in April. We're on a city-wide conservation policy and aren't supposed to water every day, not that we do, because it costs too damn much. I just don't want to lose my hydrangeas out front along with the grass in the backyard since we spend so much time out there. ugh

Oh wow.... I just checked and we've dropped from 81 an hour and a half ago to 77! YIPPEEEEE!!!! We might just have a day where we're under 100!!!!!

And it's official. I've turned into a Fuddy Duddy who checks the weather constantly! lol

I understand....I wouldn't want to lose my plants either. I'm glad we don't have to worry about watering....especially this year. My garden is going absolutely crazy....I should post a pic because it's nuts! I haven't watered it at all. I did lose some flowers because I planted them in containers and forgot to water....by the time I remembered, they were dead. oh well. Otherwise, I am lucky...for whatever reason, if I plant something in the ground, it usually just takes care of itself. As for our grass.......green, green, green. We've obviously had more rain this summer than you guys.

Please. Send. Some. This. Way. Please.

It's SO humid here (100+ degrees, too!), but we've had all of 20 minutes of rain. My poor cucumber plant is pale and dry, even though I'm watering it every evening.
