Water in the officecloset (where there's a shitload of LB baskets and CM inventory), in the closet under the stairs (Christmas & holiday décor), and behind the TV in the family room.

My house is a freaking disaster area right now! I was supposed to host bunco tomorrow and the house was clean. *was* being the poperstive word.

Home warranty + insurance was our friend when we had a leak :/ It is a mess though, expensive and time consuming, and I'm sorry.

Planning to call my home warranty today to see if any of this is covered. Home insurance said the hot water tank is considered wear and tear so it's not covered. The damage from the flood *is* covered once we meet our deductible which is 1% of our home value. ugh. Just doing the walk thru in the garage (before we discovered water in the house) we had less than half of our deductible.

dude....it'll be okay. You'll recoup your costs through your insurance and you'll enjoy some mommy and me time with your mom. It'll all work out. Maybe go ahead and cancel bunco or move it to someone else's house. I did have to chuckle just a bit because your week pretty much sucks....one thing after another. That's mean huh??? hahahahaha But, as you know, it could be so much worse. How was the mail exchange?

Talked to insurance yesterday and our deductible is 1% of our home value so we'll need a lot more damage to meet it. Just what we had in the garage was, providing none of it works once it dries out, was about $1500. I'm planning to call our home warranty today and also call my home owners back to see if they think we need an adjustor to look at the carpet and make sure walls, foundation, etc is okay.

Yeah... the week has pretty much sucked in a very expensive kind of way.

Mail exchange went better than I expected... I actually posted about it! lol

Our basement just flooded Tuesday and we had to cut out some of the carpet, but other wise we were lucky. I'm sorry that you have to go through this.
