Ankle, Gilmore Girls and wicked Tommy

Feb 16, 2017 18:56

Five months after I broke the ankle, I continue to go to physiotherapy three times a week. The progress sometimes seems very slow, but I am getting there. Today, the physiotherapist reminded me of how swollen the foot was when it first came out of "the boot." Now I can see veins and when I get massaged, the physio can feel bones! The foot is no ( Read more... )

Hee, while I admit Luke/Lorelei was the only pairing I really cared about, Digger was my favorite of the non-Luke boyfriends...

It's been years but I think GG was okay through season 5? My memory is that s6 was rocky and s7 was missable (I enjoyed the recent Netflix reunion eps though.)

Also randomly caught this and thought of you, at a recent SPN con Jensen Ackles briefly talked about MR:

Thanks for the clip! Aw, Jenny still ♥ Mikey!

Luke is good for Lorelai but I like Jason for ME! Love Chris Eigeman.

Chances are, if you visit my house and pick up an object, at some point it will have been rubbed on my foot.

*giggles*

Thomas, so damn hot, and Michael continues to be sexy as ef. :D

Thomas hides his hotness away for months and then blinds us all like a supernova!

I will never be over the sight of Michael in a white T.

Michael, in my preferred outfit on him: classic white T. He's looking upwards because he's singing "Love in an Elevator" but let's pretend he's ogling Tom in the pic above

Thinking, "That use to be us!"

Bad Boy! Tom is fetching but Rosey in a white tee, glasses and showing off his tat is a thing of beauty, too.

Now I can see veins and when I get massaged, the physio can feel bones! The foot is no longer a big fleshy brick.

That's good news because edema is sometimes an aftereffect of trauma to the limbs. Glad you're recovering nicely!

Thank you! The pitted edema lasted about 2 weeks but mercifully is gone now. Wearing an ankle bracer and getting massage 3x a week from the physio helped so much.

Such a sexy thing!

Glad to hear your recovery is going well!

Tom looks good. That woman he's standing with looks vaguely familiar.

Thank you!

The woman with Tom is his girlfriend of several years, Jessica. She occasionally posts a photo of Mr Elusive on her instagram, for which I am grateful. I miss that pretty face!

Gilmore Girls question: should I jump ship at the S4 finale? Are the latter seasons worth watching at all?

Well opinions are mixed all round really, the general sentiment is that seasons 1-3 are the best ones, some people really dislike season 4, some really dislike season 5, while others consider seasons 4 or 5 their favourites. Seasons 6 and 7 are the ones that nearly all fans agree really weren't as good. And it's not that season 6 is bad exactly, it just gets really miserable and bogged down in Luke/Lorelai drama. It's just not fun to binge-watch in the same way as the early years are, and then season 7 is when they bring in a new showrunner, so the writing isn't great that season

And I personally really enjoyed the Netflix revival, but again opinions do seem to be mixed on that, some people apparently absolutely hated it and it completely ruined the characters for them...

Thanks! I just watched the S4 finale and was happy Luke & Lorelai got together but bored by Rory and her boy troubles.

I love Paris - does she get a good plotline in S5? Might keep going for her. Also am enjoying the relationship of Lane and her mother.

Paris definitely gets some very good storylines as the show goes on! Lane's plots are more mixed tbh, but her relationship with her mother does continue to develop. I think season 5 is worth a watch overall
