That's a hell of a thing. The Neonazis have co-opted the Rig Veda and half of Anglo-Saxon poetry as part of their effort to document their myth of racial origin. The FBI has some medievalist scholars at WVU flagged now! Talk about poisoning the well...

Forgot to metion that he said "the Celtic goddess Ostara" I had to look up Ostara as I thought he said Astarte. I must admit I was confused as to the idea of worshiping a Celtic Goddess in Anglo/Saxon.

Ugh. Lightweights, but that's hardly news. Nazis should spend less time burning books and more time looking at them. Real Scots wouldn't be caught dead worshiping in the Sassenachs' lingo! (They might have gotten pagany up in the Orkneys, but that would be Odin, not some dawn/fertility goddess.)

Of course, there is some comfort to be taken in the fact that white supremacy has had to go underground in this way, considering what a genuine social power the Klan was in living memory.
