Mother Nature, although stunning, also has a really cruel side.......

Several other Tsunamis are on their way to various countries around the Pacific Coasts including Hawaii, The US, Australia and NZ.

My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone and ( Read more... )

'Tis a very scary thing, that's for sure. I'm out here on the East coast, but it makes me think of all my online international friends wherever they may be, whether or not they're in the path of this thing... Be well and safe.

*hugs* indeed.

When I was a kid we were living in Hawaii, dad was stationed at Barber's Point Naval Air Station, I still remember visiting an area that had been flattened by a tsunami a few years before. What I recall in particular was the sugarcane plantation that was a shell of what it had been before, but the area around it for miles was like a bomb had gone off....................
The power of water is amazing.........the weight of it and never mind the fastness of these tsunami waves that travel over 100 miles an hour........
Remembering in prayer not only the people of Sendai and surrounding communities, but others affected e.g. Philippines now has rising waters........

It is such a terrible thing to happen to so many innocent lives....both in Japan and around the world. It just goes to show that Mother Nature likes to show us who is boss

One of my friends sons works for a company that had a office in Japan....all the people who worked there were killed when the building collapsed during the earthquake....

So, so sad :(
