Call Me Unlucky.

So a lot of things went all "Hey, I will get broken to piss you off" on me. Which include our 6-year-old obsolete desktop PC and ancient digicam. I am a little better after my dad bought the backup external drive--but it is mostly rendered useless since the files to be backup-ed are now... well, floating in the middle of Windows broken-dom. I guess I should start mentioning that our ENTIRE SCHOOL PAPER is there. Articles, schedules, reminders and everything. :(( If it only was about the scans, I wouldn't have grieved so much. Personal photos, too.

And anyway, I am still looking at the glass half-full so I am hoping for a complete file recovery. Our disk is partitioned so I guess I slightly have better chances at getting my files back.

ohmigawd, you poor thing. come over here. *hugs*
i hope you recover all your files. and regain your life again.

i came upon that situation too and hell was i depressed about it. my collections of pictures and fanfictions and personal things were there. D:
but ironic, at the end, all my files weren't lost after all and they were lying in a back up folder. the humiliation i felt after that. T.T

anyway, maybe next time you should try saving your files to a usb for back up. i always think about that if someday, my best friend sonic decides to betray me. :S

Actually, I am doing back-up right now. My uncle was able to access the system again and I won't let my files out of sight again. He says the hard disk is about to fall apart. So I am already expecting the worst. For being 6 years old, I think my old hard disk has done enough. I mean, with me being abusive and all.

A tiny USB can't save me, Tesshi. D:

I hope this would be enough reason to provoke my dad into buying a new desktop computer. Reformatting can't save me anymore, my PC's pretty tired of the repeated reformats and I think it already wants to rest.

How I wish. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, I'll try checking it out. Somehow. D:

LOL. Nothing can emphasize this enough. XD But no worries, after all my optimistic!whining, my computer suddenly revived itself so I am now moving my files for good measure. :)

Ahaha. I'm glad your PC was able to give you that much, at least. I hope your dad has seen the light on this one; PCs are not as expensive as they used to be, and it is a vital piece of equipment especially as you're about to go to coll.

He's not changing the entire system, only the hard drive and memory disks--then again, that's better than nothing. ;_______;

On another note, my laptop just died from overheat (about a week ago). And the keyboard I'm using right now is pissing me off by having left Shift sink and not capitalize anything when I push it. I am so unlucky.

I think I need a hug.

They are on the young side, I know, but they're very nice boys and they mean well. Inui especially can sympathize because his computer contains his life and all his data.
