The Earthsea Movie? The one Le Guin hated because everyone was white? Pft. The books are much better, I'm sure. I've read part of The Sun, the Moon and the Stars, but never got around to finishing it, possibly because it's so... non-linear.That was a while ago, though. I've also read Tam Lin, in the Fairy Tale series. I've also got mixed opinions about that one, mainly because I couldn't relate to any of the college students in it. (Me and my friends did not spend our spare time discussing Chaucer. Star Wars maybe.)

::shrugs:: It's been awhile, but I remember liking parts of it and not liking parts of it. I had a review up here somewhere after watching it, but I don't remember what I said. Anywy, I'm still glad to have found the books (and in a boxset, no less! I am far too obsessed with my packaging).

1st edition LotR books easily go over the 10K mark, though. See?

Mind you that set is missing two of its dustcovers and unsigned, even if it is is really good condition.

Oh, believe me, I know - I've spent far too much time on eBay.

All he would tell me was "Those books are worth more than I am." Which, since I don't know what he's using to measure his worth (I'm assuming in dollars), I have no idea how much those books cost. Just obviously more than I can afford... ;*_*;

Oo, bookstores are my drug of choice, that's for sure! Some of those prices are indeed scary, but I can understand why they are so expensive.

What is your LibraryThing username? I'm wispywillow. There are a couple people in my friends list, but I can't always put the names with the people they belong to...

yep. Just wish I could afford them, though....

I think you're already on my LibraryThing friendslist. I'm Magycmyste on there (and most places aside from Livejournal, actually).
