When the Evil Queen wanted something from Rumpelstiltskin, she tried sending her servant in first. One heartless creature to another.
This is a gorgeous piece - the interaction between the two characters - Rumplestiltskin and the Huntsmen is perfect. Both of them are tragic in their own way and this fic really does it's best to show you that, share a side of each of their desperation.
He's Off, You See, The Wizard - Once Upon a Time/The Laybrinth

Every once in a while, Mr. Gold needs a break. So he goes to visit a friend with whom he has somewhat in common.
I never thought of this crossover but after reading this fic, it's all I want to read more of. Just a meeting between the two in a small space in time where they intersect and their venting of their frustrations and failed plans is hilarious.
Boy on a Swing - Grimm

Marie sees a lot of her dead sister - and herself - in her little nephew.
We haven't gotten to see much of Marie so far in the the series but this fic definately makes up for it. It's just a snapshot in their lives, how it might've been, being a sudden guardian for a little boy, and a Grimm on top of that. It's a really well done look at both Marie and Nick, how he might've been as a child and how he grew into the person he is now.
Amateur Genealogy - Justified

Post-season two. Rachel and Tim pay Raylan a visit.
Another snapshot - I really love this. I wish the show gave more attention to this trio but the fic does them enough justice that I almost don't mind as much. Perfectly in character for each of them.
Fault - Person of Interest

With Reese out of commission, the numbers torment Finch. There's only one other person that can be trusted to see a number through.
This is exactly what I needed after the finale. Wonderful voices for each character and god. It just makes me love all of them even more.

She had a name for him, finally. And a face, out from under all the grime of beard he'd worn when she'd first met him.
This fic is so perfect I really can't even describe how much. Just the best blend of introspective and moving forward and. Man. It really is just a perfect fic.

Mission: Dinosaur Adventures - The Losers/Jurassic

Jensen couldn't decide whether he was having the best week ever, or the worst.
THIS FIC. This fic. In case you couldn't tell, this one was my gift fic for this yuletide and I think I've read it a hundred times since the stories went live. But really. It has Jensen and Cougar and DIONSAURS and Lex and Tim and even a Grant and Billy cameo at the end. Ass kicking abounds and also a tiny bit of true love (or ...Jensen love) and did I mention the DINOSAURS? It has a million great lines that had me giggling in the middle of night. Really it is the greatest gift a person could ask for.
Also dinosaurs.
