i bought a biography of bronson and louisa may alcott- it's this thickthickthick hardcover boo. i thought i would really love it but i'm finding it so boring!!!

Actually, maybe it would. I've read a few bios in my time, but for the most part that always seemed like such iffy territory--another set of books i'd started reading without finding any desire to finish. I'd like someone to sell me on one bio in particular, that's the way to go. Any you love?

I've also been devouring Anodea Judith's (in the frontiers-of-psychology department) Eastern Body Western Mind which integrates chakra theory with Jungian thought forward and is Fuckin Brilliant. I let them shut down my entire library account while i continue to hold this book hostage till i'm done with it and have ordered mine own copy.

Re: Miami, shit. I have a fat airline voucher i won for swapping flights during the Christmas madness, but part of me says to save it for Portland, and that music festival ticket ain't cheap. I wish it were one weekend earlier--i'd still be on spring break, and it would also be possible to see my amazing friend in a wonderful production of John Patrick Shanley's Doubt a few hours away--then i wouldn't be cramming, and i'd make it happen.

yeah i had some difficulty with the timing, too. my job gives us good friday off.

however, because i can, i said fuck it: two long weekends in a row won't hurt anyone, least of all me.

holidays can feel so arbitrary sometimes. we also get columbus day off. NIÑA! PINTA! SANTA... MARÍA! (holla back.)
