Welcome to NY where, by the sound of your words, magical discovery is still possible. You have the amazing ability to find more things here in a week than I have in more than a year.

Haha, awesome. Thanks for the props. That ability must be why i love to travel and feel so deeply in love with lots of places. New York--it certainly helps to have some fun & wacky friends around, and just follow them. But the first vision i had of New York's weird lovely possibilities came from a book called the Mad Monks' Guide to. They had two cats, i think, named Nurse and Nurse's Aide. What moved you to the city?
When you have the Mad Monks as guide, you are in for a flying carpet ride. NY can still be wacky, weird and occasionally lovely if only because the innocents and the newcomers keep things from being ossified. It's a long story but I moved back here mostly for my family. Where do you live now? Hope you visit again...
I'm sorry, dude! It was a whirlwind tour. I spent half my time hanging with my family who were there and half trying to finagle quality time with old friends. I certainly thought of you, but i just didn't give myself enough time there; i was wishing i'd tacked a couple more days at least onto my trip. I'll be back sooner next time--not a broke-ass busy student anymore!
