Today I started my first day of volunteering. I walk from mi ma'ma's casa, which is like a 10 minute walk and I meet at the headquarters by 8. Once I am there I meet up with the other volunteers in my projects, for my project there are 3 others and they are all girls...Then we take a taxi to the volunteer sight...It costs us about 5 bucks each way

This sounds a lot like Fiji. Being there and seeing the poverty really got me pumped to do some humanitarian work. You are doing an amazing thing, and you really will come back from there like...changed. For sure. I am happy for you and can't wait to here more about what you learn.
