Oh my, I remeber doing all those equations, trouble is not well enough to answer the questions I'm afraid - shows how much attention I paid. Sounds more like physics to me anyway...
It's more along the lines of physics, but my teacher, Mr. Samsa... well, he's excitable, to say the least.
Samsa is extremely passionate about his subject. He loves science; you can see it in the way he teaches and the way he responds to questions. He loves the learning process. He's a really great teacher.
Those three problems are more of a physics thing (which my Algebra teacher pointed out today), but... we're doing them. I don't know why. I'm guessing it's part introduction to chem, part intro and experience to an upcoming year of physics, part intro to what we're going to be doing in class, part intro to... science in general.
Those questions are very unanalytical, actually. It's doing algebraic arithmetic, in essence. You don't want to see analytical problems...kids at MIT committed suicide over them.

I have no clue why we're learning it, but we are.
It's quite fun, once I actually know the answer.
