I think you captured Sam and Dean's personalities quite well. And the story (as far as I'm aware) is very unique. I wouldn't mind seeing it continued, if you have the time to write it.

which season/novel is this set during btw?

I haven't actually decided yet. I wrote this about a year ago and never posted it. I would say season 2-ish, before they learn much about witches.

I will have to do some serious planning/outlining before I continue. =/
