Ozzfest 2005!!!

Ok, so I'm breaking my self-imposed rule just this once. I went to Ozzfest on Sunday, and it was so amazing that I just have to post about it. Sunday was also my brother's 23rd birthday, so I bought his ticket for him, as his birthday present. He said it was a great birthday, and he had a lot of fun ( Read more... )

Sounds like you had a great time. I dunno...concert promoters, venue employees, and such just sound very shady and I don't like dealing with individuals like that. To them is just 'money, money, money!'.....greedy bastards. haha

Yeah, we had a blast. I'd love to be able to go again, and maybe somehow sneak a camera in. =)

Not all venue employees are bad... my mom (18 years), dad (a few years), two aunts (20 years for one, and about 10 or so for the other), uncle (20 years), and godfather (a few years) all worked for the San Diego Sports Arena, as well as Jack Murphy/Qualcomm stadium. We used to see all kinds of stuff for free... hockey, soccer, the circus, Disney on Ice, wrestling, some concerts (some we had to pay for the tickets, but we would get the cheapy ones and sit where we wanted), baseball. It's the companies that service the venues that are greedy bastards.

Yeah... they can't stop you from bringing in a cell phone. Just don't say, "it's a camera phone."

I saw a shitload of people taking pictures with camera phones, and in front of employees, so you shouldn't have a problem. But, if you're up on the lawn, the pictures may not come out so well because you could be too far away.... =(

Wow, sounds like you had a great time ^_^ Glad you finally went. Especially since this is one of Ozzy's last ones (I heard Sharon on a talk show saying this was it for him). I cant imagine being out in the sun that long...I would've had a heat stroke lol.

Yeah, we had a blast. I heard a few other people say that this could be the last Ozzfest with Ozzy/Black Sabbath, so I'm really glad I did get to go. I've wanted to go for the last 7 years or so, but either didn't have the money, or they weren't playing close enough to San Diego for me to go (I was out in San Diego then).

We tried to stay out of the sun as much as possible, and when we were in the sun, for the most part, we had one of the shirts we bought covering our head, but it falls off, so it didn't work to well...
