ok, no, but seriously. Daniel is his sweetest is when he's thinking about Betty, or doing something for Betty. Her opinion of him MEANS the most to him. he hates disappointing her. When she says he messes up, he does whatever it takes to make it up to her.
And Betty is so sweet and sheltered, Daniel brings her out of her comfort zone. He makes her takes risks. and His opinion means more to her than most ppls. Well, he ranks up there with her family, and that's SAYING something. She's seen him at his worst, and she still respects his opinion. that says something too (because his worst? is pretty bad).
HELLO, HE'S TOLD HER REPEATEDLY THAT HE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT HER!! (ok, maybe not exactly in those words, but at the end of S2 when it was either go to Rome with Gio for a month, or move to Tucson with Henry FOREVER, he was all, go to Rome. I can't think of being here without you. *and then cait died*)
AND AND AND, SHE QUIT A GREAT JOB, BECAUSE THAT BITCH SOPHIA WAS A HORRIBLE C*NT TO DANIEL. BETTY GAVE UP AN AMAZING CAREER OPPORTUNITY BECAUSE OF HER FEELINGS FOR DANIEL. (okok, you could make the point that who would want to work for someone who used you to get a story - who used and HURT your friend in the process. Yes, it was a smart {underhanded, sneaky, bitchy} business move, but Betty's not the kind of person who hurts ppl to get ahead in life. yes, Betty is loyal to her friends, but STILL. that whole 'i couldn't work for her after what she did to you' thing is just.. seriously, they have SO MANY 'ilu' scenes without it actually being an 'ilu' scene. i know that doesn't make sense, but whenever he gives an incredible apology speech, or when she interferes horribly with his life to make it better... seriously ppl. thats love. and omfg they're always hugging.
AND AND AND!!!! they're already a part of each others family. They were both pretty much accepted immediately. Claire is totally a mother figure to Betty. Claire ADORES Betty. and Betty ADORES Claire. (um hello, where did Claire go after she broke out of prison before she went to Italy? oh, that's right, she went to Betty's because she know Betty would help her out). And Ignacio is like a father figure to Daniel. like a LOVING father figure to Daniel. (not that Bradford was horrible, it was just really really tough love). When Daniel needed Fatherly advice, Ignacio was there. I think he pretty much considers Daniel a son, since Daniel is like, ALWAYS at their house.

omg, speaking of Henry... when they were secretly dating, and Betty finally told Daniel that they were together, and he was all, you're being so stupid, and then she went to henry and kinda BROKE UP with him, because of what Daniel said (she was totally thinking along the same lines, and was kinda just using his opinion as an excuse {even though she talked to Hilda after, and changed her mind} it doesn't matter. Daniel had her best interest at heart, because that's what they do. They tell each other when they think the other is being stupid. Daniel put on a surprise 'healthy model' fashion show for Betty. well, not really a surprise, because it was her idea, but then Alexis nixed it, and Daniel changed it so that it WOULD happen, even though they totally lied, but then he FIXED IT, because he didn't want to be 'that guy' anymore, because guess what? BETTY MAKES HIM A BETTER PERSON!!!)
Betty is like Daniel's moral compass. She tells him when he's being stupid, or a jackass. And Daniel makes Betty to take more risks. He pushes her to her limits and then some. She can say she's open minded all she wants, but he MAKES her more open minded.
They both know that the other has SO MUCH POTENTIAL, that they MAKE each other go that extra mile. and the other person does it. And not just for that person, but for themselves. They know what the other is capable of, even when they themselves don't. they COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER!!! and that's it, i think, at the core. They both have their strengths and weaknesses, and what the other lacks, the other picks up. its a True Partnership.
and also? some of the drama they put themselves through could have been prevented if they just TALKED to each other in the first place. Although, sometimes they need the drama to learn about themselves too, but still.
seriously, i can't not see them ending up together. They just BELONG together.
