I liked this alot Tatertots, your internal monologues are always thought provoking. I feel sorry for Marissa here, wishing herself back to a simpler time. I can se why she would want to do that.

Thanks! Internal monologues? I never even realized that's like what all of my fic is. Thanks for the new phrase!

This a really sweet little drabble, and I think it shows Marissa as real and sensitive, which seems rare in fic, and I think its really nice the show a more subdubbed side of her, thats grown enough to see what she regrets, and I think you're right, based on the end of The Proposal Marissa would keep in touch with Luke, even though she never says so in canon. Mind if I friend you ?

Yeah, I find it a little hard to believe that Seth was closer with Luke than Marissa. Thanks for the comment!

I just have to comment on your icon. I thought that moment was so unbearbly stupid, but I never realized that he looked so PRETTY in it!

Nice Marissa insight. Yeah, it's probably normal somewhere in the middle of growing up to not see who you're going to be, but so long for who you were. It made it feel very real.

I also liked the Luke/Marissa to this, that given their past she'd remember him as her current connection to that old life, especially when it's not like she doesn't have Summer another connection around too. I could just see these casual check-ups turning into renewed adult love come another 2-5 years if they happened to be in the same place again.

Take, take. I need no new plot bunnies, so run with it and have fun. No credit necessary.
