Happy birthday,
the_rocklobster !
Not thoughts on last night's VM episode (because I flip out easily but if you comment I'll gladly share thoughts with you!) but sort of a revelation about the original ending, sort of the alternate too. You might've already made it, so sorry.
So some people were all, "Meg was faking a coma!" which I thought made no sense at all. How can you fake a coma? But now it makes sense. Theory/revelation is as follows...
Meg didn't wake up when she opened her eyes. She already was awake. She'd been awake the entire time.
When Duncan came to visit, her parents were all, "It's your fault she's in here!" Well, who got Meg pregnant? Ah-ha! At the time I think everyone just expected it to be referring to his break-up with Meg and that's why she wasn't in the limo. But how would they have known? Plus, they blame it on the boy instead of their precious daughter.
Now, did Duncan know? Maybe he did, and maybe he wanted to see his baby and that's why he went every single day. Hmm.
Yeah, this is a seriously flawed plan. Starting with the whole faking a coma. You cannot fake a coma. You just can't, can you? The hospital wouldn't let you stay, right? Then, Meg was in the critical care unit. Not the maternity. And why was she faking a coma in the first place if all her doctors and parents obviously knew?
So I'm kind of torn. Ideas?
