I have damaged my AC joint (the one in your shoulder where the collarbone attaches to the shoulder blade). I had a separation injury there years ago and it's come back to haunt me now I'm doing a lot more upper body based activity.  The upshot is I'm grounded for two weeks and I have to apply voltaren topically 8 times a day, and ice it for 5 ( Read more... )

Thank you! I am quite excited about this prospect, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

I am firmly convinced that if I really do what I've been told to do wrt rest, ice, etc, I will be back doing handsprings next week. Yep.

Begging is illegal in New York City, and yet people still ask me for loose change almost every time I'm there.

What are they expecting, for a destitute person to sit there and starve to death? (I probably don't want to hear the answer to that.)

I think they want people to starve in the poor suburbs where they can't see them.

I just had a call telling me I'm the preferred candidate, and negotiation on rate is now happening. I should know early next week.
