Oooh - this is incredibly good; the mystery man at the beginning definitely has me wondering. I thought it was Gene at first, and then Sam, and then the doctor, and now I'm wondering if it actually is one of those three, and the timeline of the story isn't linear... Amazingly well done, and you've instilled just enough ambiguity to keep me on my toes without being frustrating, which is an incredibly delicate balance, in "total mystery" situations.

The writing itself is superb - very detailed descriptions, but blended in with the action enough that they don't drag down on the pace, and the descriptions themselves are so incredibly vivid, it's like you're painting a photo-quality portrait! Just brilliantly written overall.

Finally - love the way that the doctor was talking to the TARDIS, and does TCG mean what I think she means? Oooh, can't wait for more! Great work!

Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I hope I can keep you on your toes as well as you keep us on our toes with Jabberwocky, :)

Depends what you think she means... if you think she means what I think you think she knows what she means, then yes. ;)

Much to love here! I particularly thought the description of the TCG was wonderfully written, a great description especially the line:

It became even more terrifying when the voice that emanated from her lips was so very sweet-sounding; a voice that could soothe you to sleep with lullabies but once you were asleep all you dreamt of were nightmares.

Really looking forward to more.

Thank you! I wasn't sure if I'd overdone the TCG... :) You've reassured me so thank you.
